This may be a B-flat Blues, yet, there's a twist. Jazz bands play their Blues in 4/4 swing, we play ours in alternating bars of 6/8 and 5/8!

For a long time we were a mainstay at a restaurant called the Horseneck Tavern. Ironically this place is named after the "Second Newark Purchase" which included both the second and third Watchung mountains; modern day Caldwell, and Fairfield aka "The Horseneck Tract," due to the mountainous terrain appearing to curve like a horse's neck.

The First Newark purchase was made in 1666, and the second only a few years later. Imagine buying all of Hudson, Essex, most of Union, Passaic, and Bergen Counties for $900 and some fathoms of wampum? With the genesis of our band name matching this bar we used to play, we decided to call this song after the meal we normally ordered while playing the gig.
